A worker from Bangladesh approached Novi sindikat regarding several serious violations of his rights: unpaid wages for April, the transfer of his contract to a second employer without his knowledge, and the termination of his employment via a text message.
Specifically, the worker was informed by text that his work permit had been canceled; however, pension insurance records show that the employer has not yet deregistered him.
Despite improvements to the Aliens Act, some Croatian employers continue to profit by exploiting foreign workers. This individual has been working for nearly two years without taking annual leave, clocking 45 hours a week for the minimum wage.
Novi sindikat will take all necessary legal actions to protect his rights and ensure justice is served.
