From March 25 to 27, the electoral Congress of the European trade union federation UNI Europa was held in Belfast, marking the 25th anniversary of its founding. Novi sindikat participated in this significant event for the first time, represented by President Mario Iveković, General Secretary Tomislav Kiš, and Jana Kaliterna from the youth section.

The Congress elected the new leadership of UNI Europa and served as a platform for critical discussions on empowering collective bargaining across the continent. Key topics included the integration of collective agreement criteria into public procurement processes and the strengthening of corporate social responsibility through mandatory due diligence.

Furthermore, we established a valuable connection with UNI’s Graphical and Packaging sector, which will be of great importance for our members working in the paper manufacturing industry.
