The signing of the collective agreement for the employees of the Šibenik Student Center took place today at the Palacin student dormitory.
At the signing, Director Nikolina Čvorak Šego stated: “Today we met to sign a new collective agreement for the workers of the Student Center Šibenik, part of the University of Applied Sciences in Šibenik. This is our third collective agreement. The employer strives to monitor economic trends, and through a productive dialogue with our social partners the trade unions we have increased two key rights for our employees: salaries and travel expenses, while other rights remain unchanged.”
The President of Novi sindikat, Mario Iveković, expressed his satisfaction with the signed agreement and the new wage coefficients.
“I must say that we were not able to reach the level of the new state regulations here because, unfortunately, student centers are outside the scope of budget-funded salaries. Therefore, the student centers themselves are obliged to secure the funds for their employees’ salaries. However, we are extremely satisfied, especially because our members are satisfied. This year is very risky, and the workers did not expect the employer to raise the coefficients to this level. In terms of coefficients, we now lag very little behind those in the public services,” said Iveković.
