At the press conference held today in Zagreb, General Secretary Tomislav Kiš and Novi sindikat chief shop steward for humanitarian demining, Valerijan Tolić, warned of the drop in the price per square meter in demining and demanded the cancellation of public tenders where contracts were awarded to companies with dumping prices; they believe there is no need for such prices because this year the Croatian Mine Action Centre (HCR) has secured enough money and work for everyone. The situation in the demining sector would be significantly balanced by the signing of a new collective agreement, which one part of the employers refuses to do. On this topic, representatives of Novi sindikat, HCR, and both associations of employers in humanitarian demining appeared later in the day as guests on the HRT show Hrvatska uživo. You can watch the report and the interview here, starting from the 6th minute.
