On Friday the 20th. March 2026, a conference of Novi sindikat with the theme “for Belišće satisfied workers”will be held in the premises of the Belišće Fire Hall of the city of Belišće (Railway 11). The conference starts at 6 p.m.

Belišće is one of the few Slavonian cities where there is still a relatively large number of workers employed in the industry. However, these jobs are provided by multinational companies that see the primary interest in investments in Croatia in cheap labor, rather than in realizing the development potentials of local communities.

How to oppose the policy of employment of cheap labor, which Development Alternatives are available to cities like Belišće and what role in promoting policies that are beneficial for the development of local communities can unionized workers have, are some of the issues that we will address at this conference.

The conference is held within the framework of the SUDOKU project implemented by the new union with its partners with the financial support of the European Social Fund+.
