On Friday, February 7, 2025, we met with platform drivers from Split, who have joined Novi sindikat.

Following the initiative in Split, platform drivers in Zagreb were organized during a meeting held on February 19, 2025.

At today’s meeting, we formulated the following union demands:

• Enabling genuine collective bargaining for platform workers.
• Regulating the deactivation procedure, specifically addressing the process platforms use to exclude workers from the application, which is currently used as a form of punishment by disabling their ability to work.
• Establishing that platform taxi drivers and food delivery workers in Croatia are not a deficit occupation, meaning work permits for foreign nationals should be restricted in these sectors.
• Ensuring that relevant laws are strictly enforced within the industry.
• Mandating a minimum knowledge of the Croatian language as a requirement for hiring drivers.

We will soon hold a press conference to discuss these topics in further detail.
