Below is the letter we sent today to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković:

Dear president of the Republic of Croatia,

We are addressing you once again to urgently suggest a new meeting between representatives of the former employees of the Šibenik clothing company “Revija”,  Novi Sindikat, and yourfelf and your associates.

At the meeting held on December 6, 2023, with Minister Branko Bačić and his associates at the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction, and State Assets of the Republic of Croatia, regarding solving the problem of claims of former employees of the connection Company “Revija” from Šibenik, which was very high quality and constructive, great understanding was expressed for solving this problem, as well as explicit political will to find a way in accordance with the laws and Constitution of the Republic of Croatia, we discuss the claims of former employees of clothing company “Revija” from Šibenik.

During that meeting, it was emphasized that it is necessary to identify an appropriate legal model for these payments that aligns with the constitution and legal order of the Republic of Croatia.

We remind you that following the bankruptcy of this once-famous Croatian company, which lasted almost 20 years, former employees of “Revija” are still claming approximately EUR 1.29 million based on nine unpaid salaries and severance pay.

Given the indisputable liability of the Republic of Croatia – which was the majority owner throughout the pre – bankruptcy period and the majority creditor during the bankruptcy – it is necessary to find an final resolution to this problem.

We have succeeded in identifying a legal model to solve this issue and facilitate the payments, along with other alternative modalities. Previously, at the request of Minister Bačić, we submitted relevant documentation, including the list of remaining claims of former “Revija” employees.

Therefore, we ask you to ensure, as soon as possible, a meeting between representatives of former employees of “Revija”, Novi Sindikat and your office. At this meeting, we would finally define the legal model for the payment of claims and establish a firm deadline for those payments.
