As part of the implementation of the EU ZARUP project – “Satisfied Worker, Successful Employer” (Project No. UG.04.1.2.1.06.0001), the project holder Novi sindikat and project partners Croatian Association for Mediation (HUM) and The Cab Staff Union (SKOZ) are conducting a dual-descriptive survey titled “Human Resources Management – A Socio-Scientific Analysis.” The aim of this research is to explore the characteristics of seasonal and permanent workers, motivation and job satisfaction factors, and to propose improvements to the legislative and operational frameworks for seasonal workers.
Given that the demand for seasonal workers in the Republic of Croatia is increasing, and finding quality workers becomes more difficult each summer season, this research will determine how work motivation factors contribute to greater job satisfaction for both seasonal and permanent employees.
Identifying the motivation of seasonal workers is of great importance for human resource management, as it enables the formation of harmonious, trained, and well-established teams for each upcoming season.
The research is conducted from June 1 to June 30, and the results will be published at a thematic round table and a final conference in January 2022.
Grants were provided by the state budget of the Republic of Croatia (15%) and the European Social Fund (85%). The total value of the project is 978,672.35 HRK.
